The feeling

Come home to yourself.

Nosara is more than a destination — it’s a return to self. Eight days between the jungle and the ocean, where the whole week is built around movement, stillness, salt water, and the kind of conversations that only happen when nobody is in a hurry.

You’ll practice in the morning with the canopy above you. Eat food grown a few miles from the table. Walk to the beach on a path that starts at the front door. Stop everything for the sunset, the way the whole town does.

This isn’t about perfection, or escaping your life. It’s about coming back to it as yourself.

8 days. 7 nights.
A week you’ll carry with you long after you leave.

What awaits you

A week with room to breathe.

Morning

Practice, then coffee

Yoga and meditation in the house, the doors open to the jungle. Breakfast after, slowly, whenever the group drifts to the table.

Afternoon

The ocean, or the hammock

An excursion, a surf lesson, the lagoon pool, or nothing at all. Some of the best afternoons here are the ones nobody planned.

Evening

Sunset, then the table

Down to the beach for the sun, back for dinner and the long conversations that follow it. One night, a sound bath under the stars.

Our home for the week

Villa Zona Azul

A private sanctuary tucked into the lush beauty of Playa Guiones, just steps from the Pacific — on the Nicoya Peninsula, one of the world’s five original Blue Zones.

The villa was designed around the same philosophy that makes Nosara so special: living simply, moving intentionally, connecting deeply, staying close to nature. Fifty-two hundred square feet that blend indoor and outdoor living, with soaring open spaces, native teak and Guanacaste wood, warm natural finishes, and the sound of the jungle running through the whole house.

Our days begin on the open-air yoga deck and unfold between the saltwater lagoon pool, the hammocks, shared meals, beach walks, and plenty of space to slow down.

Carried forward

This didn’t start with us.

Goddess Retreats have been held in Nosara for more than a decade. Our founder built them with enormous heart — a place where women could heal, grow, connect, and rediscover themselves — and returned every year to hold that space open.

In 2026 she invited Maddie to carry the retreat forward and continue the tradition she had spent years nurturing. Nothing about that was casual. It felt sacred.

Every year in Nosara, we return home to ourselves a little more.

Maddie, who leads the retreat, at golden hour

Your host

Hi, I’m Maddie.

My yoga journey started in high school, though I had no idea it would become the heartbeat of my life. In my early twenties I was searching for something that felt meaningful and real — and then I walked into Charleston Power Yoga, and for the first time movement felt like coming home.

I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2021, in an immersive one-month program, and everything unfolded from there. What started as curiosity became devotion. Yoga stopped being movement and became a compass — a way to help people soften the noise and remember who they are underneath it.

When I traveled to Nosara for the 2026 retreat, something inside me woke up. Standing between the jungle and the ocean, surrounded by women choosing healing and strength, I knew this was exactly what I was meant to do.

I would absolutely love to hold space for you there.

Before you ask

Questions we get a lot.

Do I need to be an experienced yogi?
Not at all. The daily practice is built for every level — gentle vinyasa, grounding stillness, and plenty of permission to take the version your body wants that morning. Some women arrive having practiced for years; some arrive having never been on a mat.
Who comes on these retreats?
Women at every stage of life, most of whom arrive not knowing anyone. That’s the norm here, not the exception — and the friendships that form over the week tend to be the thing people talk about long after.
What’s included in the price?
Seven nights at Villa Zona Azul, daily yoga and meditation, several chef-prepared meals through the week, the sound bath, sunset gatherings, and curated excursions. Airfare, travel insurance and meals out on your own are not included.
How do I hold my spot?
A $500 deposit secures your room. Send the form above and Maddie will be in touch to walk you through it — monthly and quarterly payment plans are available for the balance.
Can I come with a friend?
Absolutely — just mention it on the form and we’ll room you together. Double rooms are shared between two, triples between three.
What are the rooms like?
Five ensuite bedrooms across the villa, each with its own bathroom, shared as doubles or triples. There’s also an ocean-view loft, and hammocks strung wherever there was room for one.
